Para o leitor menos informado, Ponte de Lima é o único município nacional gerido por um corpo do CDS/PP. E também faz questão de ceder o epíteto de «Vila mais antiga de Portugal»…para manter a tradição…Os costumes…bons, de preferência, já que os maus costumes ficam dentro das quatro paredes de cada habitação limiana…
A tradição é especificada num qualquer dicionário de língua portuguesa como sendo sinónima de «transmissão oral de factos, lendas, DOGMAS,…de geração em geração». É a «memória, recordação». A tradição está sempre associada, menos ao sentido patriótico, mais à denominação nacionalista. E convenhamos, em Ponte de Lima o nacionalismo evidencia-se muito pouco regrado. E mormente associado à outra particular palavra como «conservar». Ora conservar a tradição e não a transformar numa lata de atum tem o mesmo efeito desta última. Apodrece e estraga-se. Tem que servir para alimentar os vivos para gerar outras vidas. Ciclos da vida, inscrevem os entendidos…
As Feiras Novas são tudo ao que a tradição tem direito. Os conhecimentos ancestrais do toque da concertina em rodas múltiplas. Outros ensaiam uns passos mais ou menos enjeitados logo ali ao lado, à semelhança de um qualquer Rancho Folclórico. As «maurgas» (vulgo, tigelas) de vinho rodam em velocidades escaldantes. Os mais novos, quase todos, não ligam muito ao transe que sai da concertina. Preferem as importações do funk carioca ou de uma brujeirice labrega de uma Espanha sempre acidentada no que toca a música. E a rapaziada convive num clima de engate galopante à medida que os mais velhos cedem à percentagem alcoólica do vinho e encaminham-se para a cara de cada esposa de mão alçada….ou por outra, encaminham-se para a caminha, para fazer óó.
Tudo isto convive num ambiente de festa controlada. A postura altiva dos mais velhos não liberta (atrevimento!!!) as gerações mais novas. E estes sentem-se bem nesta «quase» festa. Neste «quase» acontecimento, tal o acumular de repetições de programas, actividades lúdicas e feiras de «bojiganga» e meias para avó comprar ao neto marialva.
Esta quase «Festa do Avante» do CDS/PP é claramente um «não-acontecimento». Em que um texto sobre a festa pode ser o mesmo agora, como daqui a 10 anos, ou como há 20 anos atrás. Sempre a mesma história. Tudo em nome das tradições...estanques, de preferência…Á, é verdade, a vila é mesmo bonita….
